Every year is a big year, but 2023 was bigger than big.
We acquired Foodbomb (and we’re making the best of both our worlds), we worked with our suppliers and hospo venues and created new features to create a better experience for our network…and we mad even more venue/supplier connections as a result. We attended events, we held events, and we loved engaging with the people we exist for.
So - cheers to 2023. It was huge. Here are a few things we want to share.
And the number keeps growing. From cafes, to bars, to high-end restaurants, catering businesses, and everything in between, the convenience of our app is becoming more and more appealing to venues around the country.
And counting! We are so proud to partner with this many quality suppliers, and we can’t wait to have even more on board in 2024.

Our biggest industry event of the year brought together suppliers and venues for an afternoon of drinks, networking, and advice on how to make sure no hospitality business is left behind when it comes to the new wave of technology.
At the Fine Food Expo this year, Ordermentum CEO Adam Theobald spoke with Tim Kummerfeld from Foodie Coaches, and Ashlinn Reid from Stella’s by the Lake, a popular Canberra venue, about all the ways hospitality businesses can start using AI to exponentially increase efficiency.
We loved attending Beyond the Bar, a community meet-up that discussed the current state of coffee work in Sydney, and the ways in which coffee businesses can go ‘beyond the bar’ to create a more sustainable and impactful industry.
Melbourne was buzzing - and so were we - when we set up shop at the Melbourne International Coffee Exhibition.
The Foodservice Australia expo in Melbourne was another reason for us to connect with the industry and discover new trends.
We acquired Foodbomb and raised fresh capital of $16m - one of our biggest happenings of the year. It meant we got even more venues on board, and more fantastic suppliers - as well as a bigger team and more resource to continue our quest to revolutionise the way hospo does business.
What’s *not* in the pipeline is probably a better question as we wrap up a caffeine-filled action packed year. We’re already working hard on new product features to make hospitality trade smarter, as well as thinking of ways we can connect our incredible network even better.
Overall, we are committed to investing in the Australian foodservice and hospitality industry, and creating a sustainable and thriving industry.
We want to say a huge thank you to all our suppliers, all our venues, our partners, and of course the Ordermentum team. Til next year!
