So who is behind Dulce Gelateria you ask? For many years, Daniel dreamt about opening his own gelato shop. He dreamt about creating a community gathering place. One where you could run into neighbours, spend time with family or to simply treat yourself. He is enlisting the help of his three children, wife and daughter in law to help fill in the gaps and let him concentrate on doing what he does best – making gelato. His youngest son Jerry – who has Down’s Syndrome – is the final piece of the puzzle. By joining the team Jerry is realising his dream of working with his dad. Jerry compliments Daniel’s 20+ years’ experience making gelato with a whole heap of enthusiasm and love both for making and eating a lot of gelato.

Growing up, food was the common thread that weaved it’s way into every important milestone, celebration and family discussion. Every meal was important and I grew to love food made with love, great quality produce and with a touch of gourmet deliciousness.
