Ordermentum secures funding to scale AI-powered infrastructure for the F&B industry
Australia’s food and beverage industry is entering a new era.
Ordermentum has secured a significant investment from Five V Capital, following a global process run by Barrenjoey that attracted strong interest from leading national and international investors.
Five V was selected based on capability, aligned vision, and industry ambitions. The new capital will accelerate business growth, support AI deployment, and fund targeted acquisitions.
For Ordermentum customers, nothing changes - except the opportunities that lie ahead.

The opportunity for food and beverage
Australia's food and beverage industry is expected to exceed $130 billion in the coming years.
Despite this, the category remains mired in manual processes and disconnected systems all while operators manage sustained cost pressures and tighter margins.
For wholesale suppliers and their venue customers, too much time is still spent on manual work, which is why there is a growing shift towards connected, data-driven operations.
Ordermentum sits at the centre of that shift.
The platform is already embedded in the day-to-day operations of half the venues in the country. Ordering, payments and reconciliation run through a single connected system, freeing up time and resource for far more valuable activities.
Why this investment
Ordermentum has built one of the industry's largest digital networks, operating at the centre of trade between suppliers and venues.
Our strong unit economics and consistent growth track record attracted strong interest from both domestic and international investors.
Adam Theobald, CEO and Founder, said the decision on who to partner with came down to who could best help set up the industry for success.
“With data and AI changing the social landscape rapidly, the food and beverage industry is entering a new era. Ordermentum wants to underpin the hospitality industry with the infrastructure and intelligence to thrive in a world that needs human connection more than ever. “
“Five V shares our ambition for the industry, has a strong track record scaling businesses, and brings the experience to help us materially accelerate our impact."
What comes next
We’ve got more than 10 years building our product and thousands of daily transactions between venues and suppliers flowing through a connected system.
This has given us an ever-growing data and a rich understanding of what the industry needs.
With this information, we’ve already been able to embed AI into our product across ordering, pricing, inventory and payments. For operators managing thin margins, even small improvements in any of these areas can have an outsized impact.
Now, the focus is building even smarter, super-secure tools that will reduce complexity even further and give you even smarter ways to work.
Above all, our focus remains the same: help venues and suppliers build and strengthen long-term relationships, operate more efficiently, and grow sustainably.
