WHERE WE COME FROM Uncle’s began in the 1990s, when Marian and Nora Poprawski started making traditional Polish smallgoods for Melbourne’s Polish community — the recipes they grew up with, made the way their family always had. Two decades on, the next generation took the reins: Brendan, our Smokemaster, and Bartek, our Ham Dealer. They cut their teeth running the Yumski hot dog stand at Federation Square back in 2010, then carried the family trade into a purpose-built, solar-powered smokehouse in Dandenong. Same family. Same standards. A bit more swagger. WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT Everything we make comes back to three things. — Better Taste. Food that tastes like it should — rich, smoky and properly seasoned.
