What were the main challenges you had with scaling and growing the business?

We would have orders coming from so many different channels, that was number one. It was really difficult not having this part streamlined.

How did Ordermentum help with these challenges?

Now, there is automation and visibility. My staff can just jump in and look up the orders. It’s all so user friendly, and so straightforward. You know immediately what order came in when.

You can see what was paid, what was not paid. And if somebody's dodgy, you can spot it immediately.

What has your experience with Payments been?

Payments have made such a huge difference. Sometimes we would ship an order, and two weeks later you wouldn’t have payment, and you’d have to start hassling. But you can really set your boundaries with Ordermentum.

It’s also very useful if you’re not sure about a new customer, you can ask for payment up front.

And once you establish the trust, then you can reward them. You have the flexibility to make those changes.

Reconciliation is also so easy - when customers make a payment, it automatically marks it as paid.

What about invoicing?

The invoice is created in my accounting software at the moment customers place an order.

My staff would otherwise have to go and manually check terms. But you save so much time because the invoice is generated automatically. We saw that we were saving three hours a week at least immediately.

What has your experience with Growth Engine been?

Growth Engine is amazing because you’re exposed to other cafes or deli shops that will grow the business. New customers would find us on Ordermentum and just place an order.

Before Christmas, we get an influx of orders that we almost can't handle. I used to just let them completely flow in and automatically accept them, but at Christmas time I have to be a bit selective.

If you want to grow the business, it’s such a great way to be exposed to people that shop and want to easily order everything. It's just the modern way to go, isn't it?

How has the Promotions feature helped you?

Promotions really helps with products that are trending or in season.

It definitely helps when things like Father's Day or Mother's Day come around, so you can push that product up into their eyeballs. It’s beautiful to be able to tell customers: “hey, this is coming up next month, you should probably order it now because you need to have it on display before the event.

What do venues think of Ordermentum?

Very few prefer to just pay on an invoice. Maybe big companies that have their own internal process, they just have the purchase order. But for most venues, it’s the easiest thing for them to place multiple orders in one place, and multiple products in one order
